Tight buffer or semi tight buffer

Cables which is longitudinally water blocked *) for outdoor use, but has a flame retardant sheathing for fire rating as mentioned under the specific cable.

*) Note: some exceptions exist, see  the individual descriptions.

D15    2 - 24 fibres: Glass elements, FireRes® sheath. IEC 60332-3C fire rating, WB according to IEC 60794 DQ

D16    2 - 24 fibres: Heavy duty cable; two longitudinal FRP elements, LSZH sheath. IEC 60332-3C fire rating, WB according to IEC 60794.

D11    2 - 24 fibres: "Wet duct cable"; aramid yarns, inner FireRes® sheath, glass elements reinforcement, outer FireBur® sheath. IEC 60332-1 fire rating, core non water blocked.

D09    2 - 16 fibres: Aramid yarns, Inner FireRes® sheath, steel tape armouring, outer FireBur sheath. IEC 60332-1 fire rating, non water blocked.

DQ denotes standard cable


Central tube

Stranded loose tube

Cables intended mainly for combined indoor and outdoor use = universal use. The cables are semi dry longitudinal water blocked using swell able materials. The cables features a FireBur ®   sheath and fulfil IEC 60332-1C.

N01    6 - 264 fibre stranded loose tube cable, FireBur ®   sheath, IEC 60332-1 fire rating DQ

N05    6 - 216 fibre stranded loose tube cable, medium layer of glass yarns, FireBur ®   sheath, IEC 60332-1 fire rating DQ

N02    6 - 264 fibre stranded loose tube cable, heavy layer of glass yarns, FireBur ®   sheath, IEC 60332-1 fire rating

I08    6 - 96 fibre stranded loose tube cable, inner MDPE sheath, steel tape armouring,  outer FireBur ®   sheath, IEC 60332-1 fire rating.
